What is the best way to make school work interesting? Sport, and in particular, football of course! A series of key stage 2 numeracy and literacy workbooks linked to Manchester United and Liverpool has just been published and the English and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has produced "Howzat", a mix of physical education and classroom resources for key stage 2. The Manchester United and Liverpool workbooks - Arsenal is to follow - are direct offshoots of Playing for Success. Unfortunately there are no questions of the "If David Beckham is paid £100,000 per week, how long will it take him to earn the money to buy seven Ferraris?" variety. Source: The Guardian |
